INTRODUCTION TO YOGA

A 4 Class Online Series

This online series is geared for anyone wanting to become familiar with yoga or anyone who has taken a hiatus from their yoga practice and would like to refresh some core yoga knowledge. This series will walk you through common Asana (poses), learning about the many benefits of yoga, some breathing techniques as well as practicing some simple meditation.   
I will guide you through each of these 1.5 hour  sessions at a slow pace to build confidence with safe practice.  You will end your series feeling comfortable attending a studio or continuing with online classes, as well you will be knowledgeable about class styles and which ones may best suit you in the future. 

Each registrant will receive 15 minutes/week 1 on 1 with me online where I am able to help support you where needed.  (Asana guidance, answering questions) 

Following your 4 classes, you will receive an emailed copy of, 'Takeaway's - Key Points Covered'.

$75

YOGA - HISTORY & BENEFITS

This 1.5 hour class is the first of the four online series classes included in Introduction to Yoga for Everyone.  This class can be taken on its own or as part of the complete Online Series.
During this class, we will touch on some Yoga history discussing its origination and a brief description of how it has evolved over the years.  You will learn some of the many health benefits of practicing Yoga as well as the power of meditation.   We will spend the remaining portion of the class working through some common poses focusing on alignment and safe practice.   


After this session, you will have the option to utilize 15 minutes of 1 on 1 time with me online so I am able to help support your practice.  
You will also receive an emailed copy of 'Key Points' covered during class.

YOGA- COMMON POSES AND SANSKRIT

This 1.5 hour class is the second of the four online series classes included in Introduction to Yoga for Everyone.   This class can be taken on its own or as part of the complete Online Series.
Yoga classes can often be intimidating due to the foreign language used during practice.    This session will introduce you to many of the common poses spoken in the Sanskrit language.  We will spend a good portion of this class working through Sun Salutation A and Sun Salutation B focusing on alignment and safe practice. 


After this session, you will have the option to utilize 15 minutes of 1 on 1 time with me online so I am able to help support your practice.

EXPLORING OUR BREATH

This 1.5 hour class is the third of the four online series classes included in Introduction to Yoga for Everyone.   This class can be taken on its own or as part of the complete Online Series.
Our breath is often underrated and performed without any thought at all.  Breath is crucial for life and it is so powerful when you begin to explore its benefits when using different styles of breathing.  We will discuss our breath and spend a large portion of the class working on 3 different styles of breath and how to utilize breath in poses as well as everyday life. 

After this session, you will have the option to utilize 15 minutes of 1 on 1 time with me online so I am able to help support your practice.

YOGA CLASS STYLES

This 1.5 hour class is the last of the four online series classes included in Introduction to Yoga for Everyone.   This class can be taken on its own or as part of the complete Online Series.
Choosing a yoga class that best suits you can often be confusing or intimidating when you are unfamiliar with what is being offered.  During this class I will walk you through 4 common styles of Yoga which will allow you to determine which style best suits you.   We will cover Vinyasa Style Yoga, Hatha Style Yoga,  Yin Style Yoga, and Restorative Style Yoga which will include in introduction to Yoga Nidra (Sleeping Yoga).  

After this session, you will have the option to utilize 15 minutes of 1 on 1 time with me online so I am able to help support your practice.
